The IRNAS-CSIC researcher, Jose Julio Ortega Calvo, is the chairman of the scientific program of the 34th SETAC Europe congress in FIBES, Seville (May 5-9, 2024). It will be a premier international event, with the participation of approximately 2,500-3,000 delegates from around the world. Dr. Ortega was president of SETAC Europe in 2016/2017.

An investigation led by Jorge Rencoret (IRNAS) and Angel T. Martínez (CIB) reveals, by using advanced analytical techniques, the composition and structure of lignin-like fractions in primitive plants.
