THE SUSTAINABILITY UNIT

The Sustainability Unit (US) of IRNAS was established in October 2024 and is led by Dr. Rafael López Núñez and Mr. Antonio Jesús Palma Ordóñez.
The objective of the US is to enhance the energy and environmental sustainability of IRNAS through the following tasks:

• Ensuring the implementation at IRNAS of the regulations and instructions on sustainability issued by the organization. This includes evaluating the feasibility and suitability of proposed measures for the center.
• Promoting and carrying out initiatives deemed appropriate to contribute to the energy and environmental sustainability of IRNAS.
• Assessing the outcomes of the sustainability actions and measures implemented.
• Organizing talks and other activities to train IRNAS staff in sustainability.
• Updating the content of the Sustainability Unit on the IRNAS website.
